Itineraries of the first private welfare in Brazil – Cadernos de Seguro – Teses | Nº 41

As a result of his Master’s thesis, Everson Oppermann narrates the routes taken by a private pension fund in Brazil, going from an initiative based on associative and mutual format, in 1864,  to its consolidation as an open security plan, in 1993. The objective is to present the fundamental dilemma of the pension systems, which is the search for balance between the desire to provide more assistance and the need for actuarial solvency.
